About Us

Nelson Marlborough Waste is a Liquid Waste Management company. We are a locally operated and have yards in both Nelson and Blenheim.

What We Do

We provide services to both the Domestic and Commercial industries. Our customers include local authorities, government agencies and businesses, sole traders and national companies. The services we provide vary from Septic Waste Removal, Oil & Chemical Collection, Grease Traps, Winery Waste and Chemically Contaminated Waste.

Trainee Nelson – Full Time

About the Role

Trainee position requires someone who is physically fit and has initiative. Aptitude and attitude are more important than current qualifications and experience. This position involves working outside in various locations. It requires someone who can adapt to different situations, think on their feet and work under pressure. This position suits a practical person with an interest in mechanical maintenance. 

If your application is successful, we’ll start you on basic yard work, equipment maintenance and labouring. Over the following months, we’ll put you through your driving and waste industry licences and endorsements.

Liquid Waste Operator Nelson – Full Time

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic operator with at least a Class 2 license. Physically fit, practical and hard working with initiative. Our staff take pride in providing timely and professional services. No two days are ever the same.


  • Dangerous Goods;
  • Wheels, Tracks and Rollers;
  • Confined Space;
  • First Aid;

Working hours are usually from 7:30am – 4pm, Monday – Friday. Every 4 – 5 weeks you will be on On-Call over the weekend. Should there be a major weather event it is all hands-on deck which may require working at night.

Hours are full time but variable. We pay overtime and on-call allowances.
