Nelson Marlborough Waste is a merger between two local businesses - Astro Bio-Spreading and Sepclean Liquid Waste

The story of Sepclean began in Motueka in the 1970’s when Alastair Lewis started emptying septic tanks. Over the years, Sepclean gained a great reputation for customer service across Nelson, Tasman, Marlborough and Buller.

Astro Bio-Spreading started trading in 1997 and specialised in spreading treated sewerage in forestry to increase yield.

In 2010, Victoria Reid purchased Sepclean from Alastair and in 2015 Operations Manager, Andrew Delaney and General Manager, Malcolm Furness became equal shareholders and together they merged Sepclean with Astro.

Today, Nelson Marlborough Waste has 10 employees and operational yards in Blenheim and Richmond.
